Paris au mois d’août create decorative fixtures with organic forms, in pure and natural materials. The pendant shades give sophistication to the Japanese ball lantern, reinterpreted with elegance in a contemporary way with hand woven and hand printed cotton.

Our Ethics
Paris au mois d'août, collaborates respectfully with artisans in France and abroad with decent and fair working conditions and wages. We refuse to employ children. We work with weavers in Bangladesh for our cotton fabric, that will be transformed into pendants, table lamps, wall lamps, lampshades.

Most of them are climate refugees in the center of the country along the river Brahmaputra-Jamuna. They benefit from an assistance program that allows them to live and work in their region of origin.

They weave for Paris au mois d'août , entirely by hand cottons of great delicacy, which require months of precise work.

The cotton is then printed in manual screen print or block print, according to the designs of our collections.
