Description: Boucherouite Rug - Moroccan (no. BT73)
Size: 177 x 120 cm approx
Material: Made from recycled mixed textiles, mostly cotton and linen.

Boucherouite rugs are a colourful explosion of Berber craft and style. These beautiful rugs are handloomed, vintage and each piece is unique. The term boucherouite literally means torn and re-used clothing, weavers in the Berber culture use a mix of materials to create their designs, they are traditionally graphic and beautifully colourful in design.

Each rug tells its makers own story with its unique colors and symbols, producing a stunning and vibrant work of art. These rugs make beautiful floor coverings and striking wall hangings.

Their sumptuous texture and sturdy weave make wonderful floor rugs for any room. They add colour and whimsey to modern white spaces and are a compliment to an existing colourful interior. We love love love them!!

Our Boucherouite rugs are all vintage, collectable pieces and each one is totally unique and completely one of a kind. These Berber rugs are hand woven works of textile art and may not be perfectly straight.

Due to the vintage nature of our boucherouite Berber rugs, they will be worn in (to a varying degree) which is exactly how we love them! Although all pieces are vintage, some are a lot older than others, consequently they are even more rare and collectable. This is reflected in their price.
