The beautiful timeless French body & bath range that Place des Lices offers has grown out of Isabelle Jolivets (designer) love of nature. She is inspired by its everchanging breathtaking beauty, its simplicity and the harmony of its form.

From nature the Place des Lices fragrances were born:

Verde - reminiscent of an afternoon in spring
Matin d ete - a fresh summer morning breeze
Pivone - Peony, the imperial worshipped flower
Musc Rose - a fragrant rose scent, beautifully soft & fragrant. Big old fashioned blooms.

Isabelles creations combine simplicity and timelessness. For her, beauty and quality are inseperable. Each fragrance line has its own beautifully crafted motif set against glass packaging and gorgeous white pressed paper labels.

Each line includes bath foams, shower gels, body lotions, moisturizing creams, exfoliating balms, soaps, candles and many more wonderful cosmetic creations such as bath silk foam, body mix, moisturing body gels.

All of her products are produced in France. PDL create their beautiful fragrances in partnership with perfumers in Grasse, a little town above Nice in the South of France which is home to the French Perfume industry.

The name Place des Lices (pronounced 'lees') originates from the Middle Ages when merchants used to gather on market squares to sell their ceramics, textiles and various other crafted goods. As they wanted to avoid having to put their goods away day in and day out, they protected their goods with palisades (fences made of stakes) which were also known as 'lices'.
Taking inspiration from this concept, Isabelle has chosen to develop a variety of products such as Body & Bath ranges, ceramics, glassware and textiles that could have been found in such a market square.
